Engagement Pics

Just about two weeks before the wedding we snuck in an engagement session with our awesome photographers, Jaquilyn and Travis Shumate. You can hardly see the stress in my eyes. Just kidding, it was actually pretty great to wander around Queen Anne and get to know the Shumates better. Also we met a really sweet cat along the way...

It was a really fun afternoon. And only a little bit awkward to sit on the hillside below Kerry Park and pose for pictures with fifty tourists above us snapping pics of the Space Needle.

P.S. If you look past the piece of grass stuck to my tights in the last pic of us walking up the stairs, someone wrote in chalk "I will love you every step of the way." I kind of love that.

More pics of my awesome family. It has been a ton of fun spending the last two weekends photographing my family, but incredibly intimidating at the same time. I have so much to learn!  Lighting, focus, and editing my mistakes to name a few. Not to mention getting a 20 month old to look at the camera. A wonderful learning opportunity either way.

Ok, must stop typing so I can focus on A Charlie Brown Christmas and the snowman shaped marshmallows in my hot chocolate.  Merry (almost) Christmas!
