10 on 10: August

I usually love 10 on 10 days.  It's fun and an excuse to carry my camera around with me wherever I go.  My coworkers have even started to remind me when the 10th is coming up (which is really sweet). But this wasn't one of those fun days. I was emotional, irritable and insecure. But in that low, the meaning behind this project finally sunk in. I think seeking out beauty is always a good idea.  Maybe even more so on the tough days.

A few other random things: Dubliner cheese is amazing, if you are missing your Bible check with your church (these are only the Bibles from lost and found that have names in them), also my lunch was much more glamorous than the uncooked Tap Ramen noodles and Klondike bar I had for dinner. I just didn't want you to get the wrong impression about my eating habits. :)

Check out other 10 on 10 sets here.

  1. Kenz, I so hear you! This was a hard day for me to really feel it today too, but you're right--that's probably the point...I think you found LOTS of beauty today. I especially love the curtains, notebooks, and bibles.

  2. The mention of top ramen and a klondike bar actually made my mouth water. Have you tried those ramen chocolate bars? Glad you could still choose to see beauty on a less than ideal day. :)

  6. My kids LOVE ramen, who knew? You're the first person I've told! It's summer and we have it once a week for lunch with some leftover dinner meat mixed in and a side of fruit and veggies. I LOVE your set!
